Corporate Partner – Aberdeen 6+ pqe
£180k + (DOE) | Excellent Benefits Package
Beaumont Legal Recruitment has been instructed by a highly regarded, full-service Scottish law firm with an established Legal 500 presence to appoint an accomplished Corporate Lawyer to join its Aberdeen office at Partner level.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious senior Corporate lawyer to take a leading role in developing and expanding the firm's Corporate practice across Aberdeen and the wider North East.
Offering considerably more than a conventional Partner appointment, this position provides the opportunity to influence strategic direction, develop the firm's regional market presence and build on an established platform, supported by the reputation, resources and expertise of a leading Scottish law firm.
The firm is particularly interested in speaking with experienced Corporate lawyers at 6+ PQE, with a preference for those operating at 8+ PQE or above, who have the commercial vision, technical expertise and ambition to take ownership of their practice and contribute to its long-term success.
You will take a leading role in the continued development of the Corporate offering throughout the North East, combining high-quality transactional work with strategic leadership and business development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the Corporate practice across Aberdeen and the wider North East.
- Advising an established client base on a broad range of corporate transactions and strategic matters.
- Handling mergers and acquisitions, disposals, corporate reorganisations, investments, shareholder arrangements and corporate governance.
- Developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing clients, professional intermediaries and key market contacts.
- Identifying opportunities to expand the firm's regional presence and build a sustainable pipeline of quality instructions.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm's wider Scottish and UK network, including opportunities for cross-office and cross-border work.
- Providing strategic leadership, mentoring and developing talent, and helping shape the future direction and growth of the practice.
Candidates with broad corporate experience are welcomed, as are those bringing a particular area of expertise that could complement and enhance the firm's existing offering.
You will be an established Corporate Partner or an experienced senior Corporate Solicitor with the ambition and capability to take the next step into a senior leadership position.
You will demonstrate:
- A strong technical background in Corporate law, with experience across a range of transactional and advisory matters.
- The ability to lead complex matters independently and deliver commercially focused advice.
- Strong client relationship management skills and a proactive approach to business development.
- The commercial acumen and strategic vision to develop and grow a successful regional practice.
- The ability to build relationships, generate new opportunities and enhance the firm's market profile.
- A collaborative leadership style, with a genuine interest in developing people and building a high-performing team.
An established client following would be advantageous, although the firm is equally interested in individuals with the credibility, commercial instincts and ambition to develop their own network and build a successful practice.
Our client is a well-established, full-service Scottish law firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services across a broad range of practice areas.
Combining excellent technical capability with a progressive and collaborative culture, the firm offers an attractive platform for an ambitious Corporate lawyer looking to make a meaningful contribution at senior level.
You will benefit from the firm's established market reputation, quality client base and wider network, together with the opportunity to influence the strategic growth of the Corporate practice across the North East and beyond.
