Beaumont Legal Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly regarded UK law firm to appoint an experienced Practice Support Manager to support its established Personal & Family practice.
 
This is a senior operational leadership opportunity within a progressive and people-focused legal environment. The successful individual will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of administrative and operational support across a busy and high-performing legal team.
The role can be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, with regular travel required across the firm's wider office network.
 
The Opportunity
 
This position will suit an experienced Practice Support Manager, Senior Executive Assistant, Operations Manager or Team Leader from within a legal or professional services environment who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys leading, developing and improving support functions.
Working closely with Partners and senior legal professionals, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality operational and administrative support, manage support teams, improve processes, and help drive efficiencies through technology and continuous improvement initiatives.
 
The role offers significant visibility across the business and genuine scope to influence operational effectiveness within a highly respected legal practice.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and managing Executive Assistants, Legal Secretaries and support colleagues across the practice area
  • Supporting Partners and legal teams with operational planning and resource management
  • Driving process improvement initiatives and identifying efficiencies through technology and automation
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development of support staff
  • Managing performance reviews, absence management and wellbeing support
  • Ensuring appropriate administrative processes are in place to support legal teams effectively
  • Monitoring workflow, resource allocation and support coverage across the department
  • Supporting risk management processes and key administrative compliance activities
  • Encouraging collaborative working practices and maintaining high service standards across the team
  • Promoting the effective use of Microsoft Copilot and other digital tools to improve delivery and efficiency
